Entered VINs and licence plate numbers — stored anonymously for statistics and the recently checked list.
Contact form data — name, e-mail and message, to reply to you (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Anonymous affiliate link clicks — for settlement with our partner.
Questions typed into the AI assistant — sent to the AI model provider only to generate the answer; not stored.
3. Browser storage
We store your chosen language in your browser (localStorage) to show the site in that language next time. We use no tracking or advertising cookies.
4. Recipients
Data may be processed by our hosting, database and AI providers acting on our behalf.
carVertical's own privacy policy applies once you go to their site.
5. Retention
Contact messages are kept until the matter is closed, no longer than 2 years. Statistics are anonymous.
6. Your rights
You may access, rectify, erase, restrict, port and object to processing of your data.
You may lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.

This policy may be updated; the current version is always on this page.
